Making payroll take less time.
At National Parking Solutions I developed and deployed a payroll data entry system that reduced processing time by 30%.
Payroll was still being completed by pen to paper, which caused an two entire days being dedicated to process payroll the following week. By reaching out to every individual involved, from employee, to manager to payroll administrator. Allowed me to identified each individuals pain points and came up with a solution that minimized errors, made data readily available and provided additional support during processing.
Helping clients get more from their systems.
At ADP, I’m the primary point of contact for more than 20 clients.
A client had mentioned that their managers can often miss approving time off for their direct reports, leading to delays in payroll processing. With the clients Time & Labor application there is a way to configure and setup so notifications for time off requests will not only be sent to the managers as it was currently happening. But allow for additional client management team members to review and approve the time off requests. This led to a positive impact in processing payroll because now the payroll department was less inundated with employees improperly being paid.
Building a business from the ground up.
I co-founded SLH Retail Investments INC. and helped grow it from one location two employee business to two locations employing six full-time employees & four part-time employees.
With the first year’s annual sales being $120,000 and only increasing 5% the following year. It was identified that opening an additional location would allow for additional sales. By forecasting customer demand, reviewing current sales trends and auditing inventory. Opening a second location not only led to an increase in sales but by the fourth year in operation the annual sales had reached over $600,000.
Bringing IT support to small businesses.
My time working for prior employers led me to identify a big pain point for small businesses. Hiring, training and paying for a full-time IT staff was unrealistic & costly. By using my knowledge and expertise I was able to provide consulting to a small business how to outsource specific needs and store in house technology to avoid the costly reoccurring fees for services.
